Variety is the spice of life

If you have quality opportunities, employment vacancies or support services suitable for young adults aged 14-24, you can promote yourself on the LVN app for free

Opportunities on the LVN app are categorised as Employability Support, Specialist Support and General Interests. At LVN, we know that the interests and needs of the young people we work with are varied and individual. We work to reflect this on the LVN app by reaching out to a diverse range of organisations.

To this date, we have hundreds of organisations signed-up to promote their opportunities. Those with featured opportunities include youth clubs, media companies, London councils, digital and IT businesses, creative and performing arts organisations, national charities, colleges, mental health organisations, sports clubs and many more.

Funding received from John Lyon’s Charity as part of the Cornerstone Initiative has been a significant factor behind the development and success of the LVN app.

Dr Lynne Guyton, CEO of John Lyon’s Charity, said “John Lyon’s Charity are proud to support LVN in their mission to ensure that all young people have access to good networks and visibility to the wide range of support available.”

Endorsed by the Metropolitan Police Service

With over 1,400 youth opportunities listed, the LVN App caught the eye of the MPS whose police officers will be trialling the App as a resource to share with young people, in particular those at risk of antisocial behaviours and offending.

The initiative has been supported by global law firm Hogan Lovells, who has provided important advice on data privacy and corporate governance, to ensure the continued integrity of the app.

Chief Inspector Jack Rowlands said of the collaboration: “It is really positive to see an application that not only offers opportunities for young people, but for organisations too, to showcase what they can do to help. The Metropolitan Police Service will be able to signpost young people to use the application and access opportunities. In addition, we can share the LVN App with other organisations that we work with to enable them to sign up and highlight what they do.”
