Our Power of an Hour Jobcentre Schedule

LVN delivers our Power of an Hour programme online with jobcentres in Barnet, Camden, Islington and Haringey. Simply take a look at what’s on below and choose the sessions that interest you.

You’ll need to register on the LVN app and select your jobcentre to receive your invites. Don’t forget to click accept so we know you’re coming!

We have different volunteers coming each week from a range of professions including Construction, IT, Marketing, Business/Admin and more, and we encourage you to attend as many sessions as you can.

We at LVN are very inclusive and actively promote equality

We welcome volunteers from a wide range of ethnicities and backgrounds and our rota of volunteers changes every week. All of our volunteers give their time because they want to see change. In particular, they are activity trying to increase diversity in the workplace.

Maximising on your Experience & Advice for CVs and Interviews

We’ll share our top advice on maximising your experience for CVs and interviews. How long do employers spend looking at your CV? It’s less time thank you think. Have an upcoming interview? Job hunting and interviews can be confusing, stressful and frustrating. We’ll help you feel more confident, prepare for interviews and clear up any questions.

How to get a job in Music Production

We’re running a 3-week online mentoring programme for everyone interested in a career in Music Production.

If you’re interested in music production, or even just curious, this is your opportunity to deep dive into the industry and learn everything you can about killer CVs, interviews, and job search to help you succeed and set your goals. Everyone is welcome (18-24).

For 2 hours each week, we’ll work with you to get you ready and confident to apply for a job in the music industry and succeed at interview. You’ll come out of the programme with a great CV and tons of practice, advice, and confidence for tackling interviews. You’ll get to meet 3 music industry professionals for one hour each week who will share their experiences and advice for getting a job in music production. They’ll share their career journey, top advice and insights.

Leaving your comfort zone can be stressful. If you’re nervous about joining, we understand. We’re really friendly and the industry professionals we’ve lined up for you are super nice too. We’re excited to give you the help you need to take control of your journey into work and help you build your confidence. If this programme interests you, why not just give it a try?
