Action for Kids (Barnet Jobcentre Referrals)


Action for Kids is a charity that supports young people in North London (aged 18-25) with a learning difficulty (or disability) to find paid work.

They also work with young people who have a diagnosis of asperges or autism (whether or not they also have a learning difficulty or disability).

As an inclusive charity, they will consider applications from any young person with an additional challenge or disability. 

Examples of services provided by AFK include:  

  • One to one employment support with an AFK job coach, experienced in working with young people to find paid work 
  • Small group employability skills training with an AFK tutor, experienced in engaging young people who may have an additional challenge or disability 
  • Job brokering service, where they work with employers to match young people with opportunities for paid work

  • Be resident in Barnet
  • Be aged 18-24
