British Museum: Youth Collective

The Youth Collective is a group of 18–24 year olds working to inspire other young people to engage with the British Museum.

Through events, workshops and creative online content, the Youth Collective aim to spark conversations and influence change at the British Museum.

The programme will run from March to the end of November 2023. We meet weekly on a Wednesday evening, 17.30–19.30. During those meetings you'll meet Museum staff and learn about how the Museum works. There will also be opportunities to connect with wider British Museum activity. These sessions will be optional and offered in addition to the weekly meetings.

As a member of the Youth Collective you'll get:

Access behind the scenes at the British Museum.
Training – this may include specific training for events.
Support from experienced staff around the Museum.
Travel to the Museum for meetings between Zones 1–6 reimbursed (you'll just need to give us the receipts).
Food, snacks and drinks when attending meetings at the Museum.
Free entry to British Museum exhibitions.
Signposting to other events and opportunities for young people.
